CIAA 2010 Weekend Event Recap – Charlotte NC
This year, we were blessed with the chance to cover a few of our clients events down in Charlotte, North Carolina. The city hosted the 65th annual Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament. This week is filled with tons of social events and parties amongst the basketball games.
Day one of our arrival to Charlotte, the spot to be that Friday night was inside the EpiCenter , Strike City to be exact. The DMV Takeover was the best title for the event! Hosted by Curt Anderson, Rob Tasco & George Spencer, Mygoodlyfe.com and the DMV Allstar team. With the streets on fire and flooded with traffic backed up for miles from the city to the interstate, we somehow maneuvered our way through traffic to get to Strike City. Upon arrival, Bmore’s own DJ Lil Mic was on the set getting things cracking early! Few shots down and later in the rotation VA’s own, DJ Bee tore it down with some reggae and hip hop. The finisher, DJ Quicksilva from DC cued up a track that just crushed Strike City and put the icing on the cake! The next day, the same trio who brought you the All Black 757 Reunion Affair, Forward Vision Group & Eddleton Events, brought the show to NC for there infamous Day Party scene for CIAA Weekend. These dudes, Curt, Darryl & Kraig are notorious for there Day parties they throw up and down the east coast, from DC to the A to VA and now NC! They teamed up with Cheeky Sasso Ent to present the Movers, Shakers & Tastemakers Mid Day Soiree. The venue of choice was loft-style lounge called Crave. Nice chill spot in the heart of the city over on 5th street. DJ Kaos was not playing on the turntables from the time we stepped in till the time they shut the venue down! This Day party stuff is new to us and if you don’t know what it is or how it’s supposed to be done, we highly suggest you get with these guys to find out! When you look in the socialite dictionary, FVG & EE defines the day party as ” The ultimate party experience with no dress code. You have to drop your daily errands and mingle in a grown and sexy atmosphere.
